Singen (am Hohentwiel)
Singen ist einer der beliebtesten Einzelhandelsstandorte und das wirtschaftliche
Kraftzentrum der westlichen Bodenseeregion. Die Kaufkraftze tralität von nahe
200 ist Zeugnis für das anziehende Einkaufsziel der Kunden.
Die Stadt wächst stetig und gilt als pulsierendes Wirtschaftszentrum.
Inmitten des Hegaus ist die Hohentwielstadt sehr gut mit Auto, Bus und Bahn
erreichbar. Sie liegt direkt an der A 81, in der Nähe der Schweizer Grenze und
direkt in der Innenstadt befin et sich der zent ale Knotenpunkt für Bus und Bahn.
Seit 1996 erstellt die Stadt Singen Einzelhandelskonzepte, um Planungssicher-
heit – insbesondere zum Schutz der Innenstadt - für die Händler und Investoren
zu geben. Dieses wurde kontinuierlich fortgeschrieben. 2020 ist ein aktuelles Ein-
zelhandelskonzept einstimmig vom Gemeinderat beschlossen worden.
Im Jahr 2016 ist die Entscheidung für die Ansiedlung des Einkaufszentrums
CANO der ECE Hamburg nach einem Bürgerentscheid getroffen worden. Auf
Basis des Innenstadtentwicklungskonzeptes Singen 2020 und der vorbereiten-
den Gutachten zur Ansiedlung des Centers investierte die Stadt 12 Mio € in die
Modernisierung der Fußgängerzonen. Ziele hierfür sind: Die Stärkung der Ver-
bindungsachsen der Fußgängerzonen, Steigerung der Aufenthaltsqualität in der
City sowie die Erneuerung des Busbahnhofes.
Ab Ende November 2020 sind die aktuellen Maßnahmen abgeschlossen, weiter
Investitionen sind in Vorbereitung.
